Our client is currently looking for full-time gardeners/horticulturalists to work with her in the Northshore area maintaining beautiful and functional yards and gardens for her customers. This is an extremely unique opportunity for anyone who has a passion for horticulture, gardening, and soft-scaping, and would like to grow their wealth of knowledge. our client is a small, one-woman-established-and-owned business which has been thriving for over 20 years and continues to grow.

The responsibilities include:
- Perform general gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, deadheading, and weeding

- Using hand shovel/digger to dig/plant flowers and shrubs
- Maintain and care for plants, flowers, and shrubs
- Use power tools and hand tools to maintain landscapes
- Assist with landscape maintenance including edging and trimming
- Operate and maintain equipment such as trimmers and blowers (no hardscaping or grass cutting)
- Assist with greenhouse operations including seed starting and transplanting
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute garden projects

Skills:
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks
- Ability to work well independently and with a team
-Ability to adapt and thrive under pressure as this is a position that may change day-to-day and present new, unique challenges
- Must have great attention to detail and ability to take direction
- Ability to work for 8 hours a day outside in a physically-demanding position while performing functions including but not limited to kneeling, crouching, bending, and lifting light-to-medium weight occasionally. Great position if you are trying to get your steps in!
- Experience in grounds-keeping or soft-scaping a plus
- Previous horticulturalist experience or education background a huge plus!

*VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND A RELIABLE VEHICLE ARE REQUIRED, NO EXCEPTIONS . This is due to having to be able to get from one client to the next on your own on occasion.*

You will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our clients' large gardens and unique yards. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills in plant care, landscape maintenance, and garden planning. Hours will be 7:30-3:30pm (weather permitting) 32-40 hours a week Monday through Friday (no nights or weekends.) Pay starts at $20+ depending on experience, and employees are paid weekly.

Position starts in March and runs through Fall (end of November, weather permitting)
This is a permanent position and you will not be required to re-apply during the short break.
