The Medical Assistant Urgent Care is cross-trained to perform a blend of administrative and clinical duties while working closely with providers, the office supervisor, and the practice manager. This role delivers professional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

- Shift Hours- 7:45am to 8:15pm
- Rotating days of the week: 3 days 12 hour shifts
- Clinic is open 7 days a week

- Deliver direct patient care in outpatient clinics-take vitals and histories, document visits, give vaccines and meds, draw blood, run tests, and help with medication reconciliation under supervision.
- Receive and document requests from internal and external customers, and respond professionally by phone, electronic message, or in person.
QUALIFICATIONS - Required High School Diploma/GED
- Required Program Medical Assisting
- In lieu of program, 5 years of medical assistant experience-Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association- within 90 days of hire
- For an MA, you must have one of the following certifications within 6 months of hire: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Allied Health or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Registry of Medical Assistants or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Performance Specialists (NPS)
