LANDSCAPE DESIGNER - MID-SIZE PROJECT LEAD
We are looking for a Landscape Designer who can actually run work - not just contribute to it.
Someone who understands how projects move, how decisions get made, and how to take something from concept through construction without constant hand-holding.
This is not a production-only role. This is not a pure design role. It sits in the middle - where things either come together or fall apart.
If you have 4-8 years of experience and are starting to take ownership of projects, this is where you level up.
THE ROLE
You will operate as a project lead on small to mid-size work, and as a key contributor on larger efforts.
You will be responsible for keeping projects moving - internally and externally. That includes managing your own work, coordinating with others, and making sure nothing slips.
You will work directly with senior leadership, clients, and consultants. You will be expected to represent the firm well and communicate clearly.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Project Ownership
You take responsibility for your projects - scope, schedule, deliverables, and quality. No surprises.
Execution
You produce work. Plans, details, documentation. Clean, coordinated, and buildable.
Coordination
You keep consultants aligned and internal teams moving. You follow up. You close loops.
Design Development
You can take direction and turn it into something real. You can also push ideas forward when needed.
Client Interaction
You communicate professionally and directly. You understand what matters to the client and respond accordingly.
Construction Documentation
You know how to put together a solid set. Not theoretical. Something a contractor can actually build from.
Problem Solving
You identify issues early and address them. You do not wait for someone else to fix it.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
4-8 Years Experience
Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Planning background.
Project Management Capability
You can run smaller projects and support larger ones without getting overwhelmed.
Technical Competence
Grading, drainage, planting, lighting, detailing - you have a working understanding and can execute with guidance where needed.
Software
CAD is a given. Adobe Suite is expected. Any 3D capability is a plus.
Organization
You keep your files clean, your work structured, and your projects under control.
Judgment
You know when to make a call and when to pull in senior leadership.
HOW YOU WILL BE MEASURED
Project Delivery
Are your projects on track, on budget, and cleanly executed?
Quality of Work
Is your output something we are confident putting in front of clients and contractors?
Communication
Are you clear, responsive, and proactive?
Ownership
Do you take responsibility or do things need to be chased?
Growth
Are you getting better? Taking on more? Expanding your scope?
WHAT THIS ROLE LEADS TO
This is a stepping stone to full project management and senior design leadership.
If you can own work, drive execution, and elevate those around you, there is a clear path forward here.
If you are looking for a role where you can actually take control of projects, sharpen your technical skill set, and grow into a leadership seat - this is it.
Apply and we will take it from there.
