PrideStaff, Sacramento, is in search of an experienced Industrial Painter and Spray Operator, who is responsible for the application of a wide range of industrial liquid coatings to OEM parts and materials. These may include, but are not limited to one, two or three components to molded plastic parts in accordance with the specification of the OEM (Originator Equipment Manufacturer) and Customer.

 

This particular opening is an early Swing Shift opening and is intended to be a "temp to hire" opportunity.

The primary duties and responsibilities that commonly make up the job description of industrial painters are listed below:

• Perform painting activities on parts in preparation for painting
• Use of HVLP pressure gun apparatus and set up
• Apply a variety of industrial coatings to plastic products include Class-A and texture paint
• Utilize equipment and instrumentation and master paint samples to measure painting parameters to ensure compliance with OEM specifications
• Responsible for the application of industrial coatings in confined spaces
• Use of proper ppe, respirator
• Suggest tools and equipment to improve the operation of the unit
• Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment and observe good safety habits
• Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat Procedures with respect to the storage and handling of materials in the area
• Responsible for reporting and documenting malfunctions of equipment or processing to the supervisor

Education: High School diploma, or equivalent
Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in industrial and/or auto coating applications.
• proven ability to use, mix, and spray Industrial Urethane Coatings, water and Solvent based Coating Systems

• must be on time for scheduled work shifts, re-prioritize work/tasks in progress, and complete assigned tasks in good time
