  • Oversee financial implications of multi-state operations, including payroll, taxes, and benefits
  • Partner with HR and Operations on benefits strategy, workforce planning, and compliance
  • Support finance, billing, and technology system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team
  • Build scalable processes and a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA and/or MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • Prior experience in a law firm is required
  • Demonstrated understanding of insurance defense or rate-driven litigation practices
  • Experience supporting multi-state operations and distributed workforces
  • Strong knowledge of law firm financial metrics, billing practices, and partner economics
  • Candidates without prior CFO titles are encouraged to apply if they have operated at a senior finance leadership level and are prepared to step into a firmwide executive role

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Strategic, business-oriented finance leader with strong executive presence
  • Comfortable advising and influencing firm owners and senior partners
  • Able to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Hands-on, collaborative, and solutions-focused leadership style
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
